Gatorz Challenge of the Americas – Infineon Information

If you couldn’t join us in Fontana last weekend, the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas put on another great show at the Calspeed Karting Center. Even though we dealt with rain again it was a great weekend of racing and we again had over 100 karts competing. With the addition of Rotax Pan-Am to our Infineon weekend, we are anticipating even more karts for this year’s Gatorz Challenge of the Americas finale.

The entry form for the Infineon Raceway weekend has been posted on our website. The entry deadline is midnight, March 5. Also be sure to see where you are sitting in the championship standings which have also been updated.

As was recently announced on ekartingnews.com, our Infineon Raceway round will serve as the first 2011 Rotax Pan-Am Western Qualifier event. You can read more about the Pan-Am here: http://ekartingnews.com/news_info.php?n=17429&sid=010517386117ab9b4b9a12b90fee6ea1

Infineon Raceway has some unique pit rules that you will need to make sure you are in compliance with. Any tent over 400sq feet must be inspected by the Fire Department and all tents, including EZ-Ups, just have 1 fire extinguisher for every 400 square feet. All tents must also have ground covers. The contracted tent company for Infineon Raceway is HDO Productions and they can be reached at (800) 225-1471.

The track will also be running a Thursday practice.

Our host hotel for the Sonoma weekend will be the Best Western Novato Oaks Inn, located at 215 Alameda Del Prado in Novato, CA 94949. It is located eight miles from Infineon Raceway.

The series has a preferred rate for March 16-21 of $99 a night for a single or double room. Please call the hotel directly to book reservations by March 10 at (415) 883-4400 or (800) 625-7466. Mention Gatorz when you are booking your reservation.

And for those of you planning on competing in the Calstate Karting / Gatorz Karting Cup series opener on March 5-6, registration is now open at www.calstatekarting.com.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Sonoma next month!
