ROTAX SUMMER SHOOTOUT SET FOR JUNE 27-29
AT MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK

“Event set for one month before United States Grand Nationals”

February 9, 2014 – Keeping with the annual tradition, Miller Motorsports Park will host the 2014 Rotax Summer Shootout one month before the traditional United States Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals. Dubbed the ‘Unofficial Tune-up’ for the Grand Nationals, teams and drivers will have the opportunity to test on the same track layout that they will run four short weeks later in real race conditions over the June 27-29 weekend.

“We are very excited to announce the dates and details for the Rotax Summer Shootout,” explained MAXSpeed Group’s Josh Smith. “There is a significant prize package for this event and we are expecting some record numbers. Miller Motorsports Park has been nothing but extraordinary in assisting with finalizing the plans for this event and we are excited to head west.”

With competitors expected from across the United States, Jamaica and Canada, the Rotax Summer Shootout will be an official United States Rotax Max Challenge event and a double race weekend. With four punches needed to compete at the Grand Nationals, competitors will be able to gain two punches as well as valuable test time in race conditions.

Smith added, “We are finalizing the registration package, hotel information and final event details and will have that distributed in the coming weeks. We want to make this the best and most attended Rotax Summer Shootout in history.”

Descending on the small town of Tooele, Utah, this year’s Rotax Summer Shootout will offer a $3,500.00 prize purse for the Rotax Senior division during Sunday’s event day on June 29.  Event organizer and promoter Miller Motorsports Park has amassed a bevy of awards for the 2014 edition of the Shootout, adding an incentive for Rotax racers from across the country to attend.

“There are a lot of prizes to be given away over the weekend,” explained Miller Motorsports Park’s Justin Bloxham. “We have been working hard to finalize plans and offer these prizes to the racers. These are just the beginning and we are working on attaining more for our supporting customers.”
