2022 Challenge of the Americas Registration Now Open

Challenge of the Americas set to crown the 15th season champions in March 2022, beginning with the series opener this January in Tucson

Entry and hotel rooms now available for opener in Tucson to begin 15th season

As of December 8, registration and room blocks for the 2022 ROK Cup Challenge of the Americas opener are now available. The upcoming season is the 15th edition of the program, set to begin on January 28-30 at the very fast and technical Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, Arizona.

“We are less than 50 days from the start of the 2022 season here on the west coast,” stated series promoter Andy Seesemann. “Coming off the momentum from the record breaking ROK Vegas event, and the solid 2021 season we had with the Challenge and California ROK Championship, I expect to see more growth in 2022 across the board, beginning with our 15th season of the Challenge.”

Registration for the series opener is now available at ChallengeKarting.com. Competitors can enter online or through mail by printing out the entry form on the website. In addition to signing up for racing, competitors can purchase their pit spot, pit passes, and motorhome parking in addition to spec Sunoco race fuel, spec ENI race oil, LeVanto practice tires and transponder rental. The new host hotel for the Tucson event is the Doubletree Suites by Hilton near the airport. Room blocks are now available for the Challenge weekend.

The 2022 Challenge of the Americas program features three doubleheader events, with the first two taking place in Arizona and the finale in northern California. Room blocks for all three events are now available through the event pages on ChallengeKarting.com as securing rooms early is strongly suggested. An annual gem show in Tucson is on the same weekend as the Challenge event, with MLB spring training taking up rooms for the weekend during the Phoenix weekend for the program.

Racers at Challenge of the Americas will once again be competing for tickets to the 2022 ROK Cup Superfinal in Italy with series champions in the ROK Shifter, ROK Shifter Master, Senior ROK, Master ROK, Junior ROK and Mini ROK earning a spot to represent the series and their country overseas. Entry packages for the 2022 ROK Vegas and California ROK Championship for those earning titles in the Senior 100cc, Master 100cc, Junior 100cc, and Micro ROK divisions will also be awarded, including more prizes and free products each weekend through the weekend raffles.

Once again, the class structure for the upcoming Challenge of the Americas season will be the same as 2021, including the allowance for KA100 engines to be used in both the Senior and Masters 100cc categories. The KA100 powerplant will run an additional 10 lbs as was followed in the 2021 California ROK Championship.
